Mengyao Mia Zhang is a film editor based in LA. She is an affiliate member of ACE and a member of the Motion Picture Editors Guild. After graduating from the American Film Institute with an MFA in Editing, she has successively been selected for Film Independent Project Involve, BAFTA Connect North America, and Berlinale Talents. Mia is also a National Associate member of the Television Academy, and has served as a judge for the 51st Daytime Emmys.

Her editing work has been showcased in numerous film festivals, earning wide recognition. Recent credits include Smoking Tigers (Tribeca 2023), Only The Good Survive (SXSW 2023), Ancestress (Björk), among many others. Mia sees movies as a medium for social expression. She takes pride in assisting aspiring directors to achieve that while taking the audience on a fun and engaging journey.
